p/s Halloween is generally not celebrated in Malaysia but just for the fun of it and to the rest of the world - have fun! I think in Malaysia we have what the Chinese call the 'Hungry Ghost Festival' perhaps similar to Halloween - correct me if I'm wrong.

Sodomi, Bontuti, Al-Liwati

Kalau Abang Habib ada buku terbaru pastinya kaum keluarga diberi dahulu. Raya lepas kami sekeluarga dapat la buku terbaru Abang Habib ni ahahahah gelak besar sampai terbabas kami semua baca tajuk dia - ada ke patut wahai abang saudaraku! Of all his books, ni lah tajuk buku yang paling kelakar dan mungkin paling catchy sekali - I vote this as the most creative book title he has ever come out with cuma I personally think lebih sedap bunyinya kalau 'Buntuti' instead of 'Bontuti' ekekeke.

Well, if you ever ask me whether I read ke idak buku-buku Abang Habib ni, jawapannya TIDAK. I am not so into political writings and commentaries, sekadar simpanan ala-ala koleksi satu set buku Syed Hussein AlAttas tapi kekadang tu menarik juga kalau browse through the photos and snippets dalam buku dia ni.

Sekali-sekala kalau petang-petang, even for dinner pekene Roti Naan memang sedap. The best roti naan I think there is ialah di Restoran Haji Tapah. Apart from a variety of Naans yang paling Kal El suka tentang Naan di sini adalah kuahnya. Bukan Kuah Dhal tapi Kuah Pudinanya. One of a kind!

Apart from Kuah Pudina yang amat sedap (tapi kekadang tu dorang ni kedekut sket ngan kuah ni so you'll have to keep asking for more) sedap jugak Roti Naan ni dimakan dengan Ayam Tandoori. Perahkan limau nipis dan makan dengan bawang pergghhhhhh!

House Bunny

KN and I decided to watch House Bunny last night after contemplating between this movie and Sumpahan Pocong di Sekolah. Ala biasa la kalau dah Kal El punya style, I'd definitely choose citer hantu but KN prefers comedy - ok la not too bad, we had a good laugh but not the kind we had masa tengok citer Benchwarmers dulu - that was totally hilarious! Citer hantu Kal El tu we plan to go during Halloween next Friday, if it is still shown kat the cinema la kan - nothing beats a good scare - good for the heart!

The Transformation

Shelley is living a carefree life until a rival gets her tossed out of the Playboy Mansion. With nowhere to go, fate delivers her to the sorority girls from Zeta Alpha Zeta. Unless they can sign a new pledge class, the seven socially clueless women will lose their house to the scheming girls of Phi Iota Mu. In order to accomplish their goal, they need Shelley to teach them the ways of makeup and men; at the same time, Shelley needs some of what the Zetas have -- a sense of individuality. The combination leads all the girls to learn how to stop pretending and start being themselves.

My recommendation? If you want some easy watching, nak gelak-gelak and especially if you love ugly girls turned into beautiful playboy-like models movie - go watch this - ala suka-suka apa salahnya hehehe it's a USD48 million box office tau!

My personal favourite is when Shelly makes the 'Exorcist' like voice to memorize her new friends' names - ahahah suka la Kal El kalau ada sangkut paut ngan hantu (walaupun tak takut) but really, memang kelakar habis whenever she does that.

Kal El diri sebelah Datuk Sheila dalam gambar atas tu.. huhuhu...Tapi takpe la, Acis sesuai sangat untuk Sheila. Heheheh (Jeles! Jeles!) Kal El pun happy ngan pasangan Kal El skang ni (gigit jari lagi!!!)

Kal El Masak Mesti Banyak Kentang dan Bawang - tapi Kuah TERcair

Masa untuk main masak-masak lagi. Kal El sebenarnya kemaruk sangat nak makan masakan Ka'ngah (my aunty yang memang masakkan untuk kami sekeluarga sejak umur Kal El sebulan lagi) Bayangkan lah kalau dah sekian lama tak merasa masakan air tangan orang yang dah biasa masakkan kita. Masa Raya hari tu Ka'ngah ada masak my favourite Paceri Nenas dengan Rendang Daging, Ayam Masak Merah dan Nasi Minyak tapi yang Kal El ada beberapa masakan yang betul-betul teringin nak makan. Cari tempat lain pun tak sama dengan rasa air tangan makcik ku ini.

Telur Dadar + Oregano

Bukan Kurma Ayam dan Telur Dadar, tu sebagai hiasan je heheheh sebagai selingan sementara menantikan Kal El berani nak mencuba sendiri masak masakan yang Kal El teringin tu. Tapi manakan nak sama. Ka'ngah pernah kata dulu, "Macamana la kalau aku mati esok, korang kebulur la jawabnya" Aku jawab "Kal El pi tunggu tepi kubur la tunggu Ka'ngah bangun masak untuk kitorang" muahahaha bertuah tak punya anak sedara menjawab gitu? Nak buat macamana kan, dah dia masak sedap sehingga menjilat jari!

Datuk Sheila Majid

Alhamdulillah. Dua-tiga hari ni Kal El menulis pasal Sheila Majid, today there's a very good news for her and her fans - congrats Datuk Sheila - at least a well deserving artiste (compared to some Bollywood guy yang takde kene mengena dengan Malaysia pun yang dapat gelaran dan pangkat Datuk) - this time Kal El sokong seorang artis versatile and world class entertainer dapat gelaran Datuk. I am very happy for satu-satunya artis yang aku sayang dalam dunia ni. At least Datuk Sheila Majid kalau dibawa keluar negara takkan memalukan kita sebab she speaks very good English, unlike a certain someone yang juga dapat Datuk tapi English dia berterabur, so kalau nak suruh promote Malaysia macamana?

Here's the good news from Harian Metro dalam berita Mutahkhir pukul 9 pagi tadi. Tahniah Sheila. You deserve this.

KUANTAN: Ketika industri hiburan tanah air berkocak dengan isu penganugerahan gelaran ‘Datuk’ oleh kerajaan Melaka kepada aktor Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan sehingga mengundang kekesalan ramai penggiat seni tempatan, pengurniaan anugerah dari kerajaan Pahang yang memberi gelaran sama kepada penyanyi, Sheila Majid, sekurang-kurangnya membawa khabar gembira.

Penyanyi yang cukup popular dengan lagu jazz dan soul itu antara 90 penerima Darjah Kebesaran Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) juga membawa gelaran Datuk sempena Hari Keputeraan Sultan Pahang Ke-78, hari ini.

Sementara itu, tiga menteri Kabinet iaitu Menteri Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat, Datuk Dr Ng Yen Yen; Menteri Pengangkutan, Datuk Ong Tee Keat dan Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob antara 20 penerima Darjah Kebesaran Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) membawa gelaran Datuk Seri.

Nasi Bukhara @ Syed Taman Permata

It is so difficult to find good briyani nowadays. Those claiming to sell Nasi Beriyani Gam doesn't know hell what Briyani Gam is all about - senang-senang je letak nama. I have only tasted a good Briyani Gam once this lifetime and I swear to God that it's authenthic and vry delicious. Too bad this person who used to cook Briyani Gam whenever my mom ordered during family gatherings (my mother's friend's husband) had passed on due to Diabetes.

One special thing about briyani gam that distinguishes it from other briyani is the sauce - ada kuah pekat (sort of like a paste) yang digaul sekali dengan nasi. Usually Briyani gam would be prepared using beef dan akan ada telur rebus di dalamnya.

Bukhara Ayam

The nearest to this that I have come accross is the Briyani Bukhara at Syed Restaurants - there are three Syeds that I know of; Taman Permata, Section 11 Shah Alam and Alam Sentral in Shah Alam.

Whenever I crave fro a real good Briyani Gam, I would go to Syed for their Bukhara - a pretty huge serving that could easily feed two (of course I would gobble up everything alone la kan) Too bad KN doesn't really like Briyani like I do so I would usually have this alone - or KN would have something else there. If only kurang rasa Mamak in the Bukhara then it would be lovely - otherwise it's the best I've tasted.

This is the gadget we use to cheat Astro so that their programmes can be viewed on the TV inside my room. It can be used to connect ASTRO to two sets of TV as well as video cassette player to two sets of TV. Awesome! Now I can malas-malas in the room watching ASTRO yey!

Well, since there are only two of us at home and there are two sets of TVs; one in the hall and the other one in our room, this gadget is possible to be installed. the only set back is that whatever is seen on one TV can be seen on the other - for example if KN is watching a programme on the TV at the hall, I will have to watch the same one in the room - if anyone of us changes channels, both will be able to see hehehe. So if you really need two people with two sets of preferences in the house, forget about isntalling this gadget huh!

Garden Cafe, The Mall

We were at The Mall recently to buy KN's new phone and decided to have dinner at one of the places we frequent tapi selalunya di Summit USJ. Came accross this place at The Mall by accident and our meals here have not at al been disapointing so far.

We chose the set dinner - Grilled Chicken with Fried Rice that comes complete with a bowl of creme of mushroom soup, 2 pieces of watermelon as well as a choice of either Iced Lemon Tea or plain Syrup with each set.

The Grilled Chicken Set isn't too bad and the set is affordably priced and very filling too! The Grilled Chicken comes with fries as well as coleslaw. Too bad I didn't really like the coleslaw though. The rest was superb.

Feeling to the Max!

Garden Cafe has over 50 ( I think) items on their menu- there's so much to order from, from local dishes, to Thai to Western plus a variety of drinks that patrons can enjoy.

The only set back here is (hmmm always the case) the waiters and waitresses aren't Malaysians - don't get fooled by their Chinese look, they're Cambodians I think or maybe Vietnamese and speak very little Malay or English. Why la these places suka sangat employ foreigners hah?

Kal El over the Years 1950 - 2000

Found something fun to play with at work today (ahahaha pi kerja main je Kal El ni...) here. Just upload your photo and zast you'll have a range of photos showing how you'd have looked like in the 50s till the new millenium - ahahah so this is the nearest to Kal El showing his true face (really this is really me) so bayang-bayangkan lah rupa Kal El yang sebenarnya ya! Hmmm ada yang memang sebijik my face la... and yang paling best tahun 1996 - memang sama siot rambut tu!
