Nope Kal El has not stopped blogging - the Closure message posted about a mogth ago was just a beginning to some changes I'm making in my blogging career.

In order to be in a more positive note, I have decided to change the blog address which previously has the word 'death' permanently stuck to it, to a more positive and hopefully a more hopeful sounding blog title - Kal El's Wishing Well. I have enjoyed writing and will continue writing, reviewing and ranting about the pleasurable and not so pleasurable life of mine.

I fell in love with this song the moment I heard it on Talentime - this is currently my favourite. It is such a beautiful work of art that every single time I hear it or sing it, I will shed tears. Ahahahani entry yang sangat poyo... posted via iPhone (ni yang poyo ni...) - btw this is not am AF blog - so this will be the only posting on this tv programme.

I used to be a fan of Akademi Fantasia (and tak sangka plak I'll be writing about AF in here) and gave up on the contestants, the programme sejak after Mawi won... the AF after that cuma ada one or two really good and outstanding ones and come AF6 - it all cam crumbling down - I decided not to even bother watching. Sampailah hari ni bila 'ter' tengok AF7 and knowing that Acis is now the music director - terus terpegun. All I could say is Syabas AF for the vast improvement - good music especially (teringat concert-concert Sheila yang sentiasa gempak dengan bunyi musik berkualiti dari Acis and team) and the contestants too are so much better this time. Sesuai dengan konsep 'transformasi' yang dicanng-canagkan - it's about time if Astro didn't want to hilang audience.


This is what a singing contest should be - contestants mesti dah pandai nyanyi bukannya budak-budak baru nak belajar macam season lepas-lepas. I enjoyed their show walaupun ada la sorang dua yang sumbang but considering the programme baru bermula, I should say the students this time dah ada personality, gaya dan showmanship tersendiri. The cameraman this time pun different, in summary, I am hooked and will watch this show every week. Yang pasal perangai-perangai contestants kat diari AF or whatever they call it now - it lantaklah, I just want good entertainment - even the judges comments this time pun I think better compared to some old lady's babbling some time ago, if you know what I mean.

Syabas AF!

My 33rd birthday was indeed a pleasant one walaupun dalam kesakitan and in anticipation of perhaps dying after 2 weeks non stop vomiting, very high urea and creatanine level in my body, unable to do anything but lie down most of the time (besides frequent visits to the toilet).


KN bought me a birthday cake - although not the Superman one like I wished for, it was still thoughtful of KN - a sweet little chocolate mousse cake. I also got a pair of Superman t-shirt, a Superman keychain and a sweet birthday card for this person I love so much - thanks sayang. No matter what you're always my super love, forever.


On the day itself, I was invited by my dear best buddies Roy, Shaz and Mahid (who came all the way from Labuan) to lunch but since I was not feeling well, they came to the house instead - a pleasant surprise as I only thought Roy wanted to meet for lunch and didn't know Mahid and Shaz was there. When they were at my house, Shaz called Wan and we spoke on the phone. Later that evening Zurry sent and SMS to wish me Happy Birthday - it was unexpected and the 5 very best friends of mine made my birthday the best this year. They brought me a fruit basket, a bouquet of flowers and Shaz gave two CDs - Beauty and the Beast Original Broadway Musical Recording (that I wanted during the show but sold out) and a Celine Dion Collection CD - I love the gifts and appreciate your visit guys.


Ka'ngah gave me RM100 and Sapit a Sleep Better Pillow. Arif and along gave me a 'devil' bolster that is very cute. Unfortunetaly papa I think has forgotten to wish me - tapi tak apa lah, as long as th others remembered - furthermore he was the one who gave me this life.

Hari ini genap umurku 33 tahun. Dalam usia yang baru hendak merangkak ini pelbagai dugaan dan keperitan hidup telah aku lalui. Berbagai keindahan hidup juga telah aku kecapi. Alhamdulillah jika Kal El masih bernafas hari ini dan syukur atas segala nikmat yang Allah telah dan insyaAllah akan berikan. Setiap dugaan yang Allah beri, Kal El cuba sedaya upaya menempuhnya dengan tabah dan tawakal. Tak banyak yang Kal El mahukan sempena hari jadi yang ke 33 ini. Dari segi material sudah banyak yang Kal El miliki.

So, all I want for my 33rd Birthday are these:

1. I want my family to be forever united and happy. Saling hormat menghormati dan saling sayang menyayangi. Kal El tak mau ada yang bermasam muka, berhasad dengki ataupun iri hati. Pada adik beradik Kal El yang hanya 2 orang, ingatlah tak akan putus air walaupun dicincang.

2. I want good health for Ka'Ngah, Papa and my siblings so that they will live long to see each other grow old and to take care of one another

3. I want Ka'ngah and Papa to be taken good care of sebagaimana mereka telah menjaga kami adik beradik dengan baik dan penuh kasih sayang.

4. I want KN to be forever considered a part of the family even when I am no longer around. KN has sacrificed a great deal for me in our nearly 7 years together and not even my siblings have taken care of me like KN has.

5. When I die, I want my children to be taken care of only by KN and no one else and that KN should be given the financial assistance from what I had left to take care of the fur kids.

And last but not least,

6. I want a SUPERMAN Birthday cake heheheh...

Found something fun to play with at work today (ahahaha pi kerja main je Kal El ni...) here. Just upload your photo and zast you'll have a range of photos showing how you'd have looked like in the 50s till the new millenium - ahahah so this is the nearest to Kal El showing his true face (really this is really me) so bayang-bayangkan lah rupa Kal El yang sebenarnya ya! Hmmm ada yang memang sebijik my face la... and yang paling best tahun 1996 - memang sama siot rambut tu!

Hmmm I have been having soooo much free time (curi tulang masa kerja sebenarnya - so malas to do anything at the office lately) so I decided to change templates again - got tired of the previous one hehehe... there goes the meow-meow on the header...tata!

Surah ini paling pendek, hanya mengandungi 3 ayat & diturunkan di Makkah dan bermaksud sungai di syurga. Kolam sungai ini diperbuat daripada batu permata nan indah dan cantik. Rasanya lebih manis daripada madu, warnanya pula lebih putih daripada susu dan lebih wangi daripada kasturi.

Surah ini disifatkan sebagai surah penghibur hati Nabi Muhammad s.a.w.kerana diturunkan ketika baginda bersedih atas kematian 2 orang yang dikasihi iaitu anak lelakinya Ibrahim dan bapa saudaranya Abu Talib.

Pelbagai khasiat terkandung di dalam surah ini dan boleh kita amalkan:-

1) Baca surah ini ketika hujan dan berdoa, mudah-mudahan Allah s.w.t. makbulkan doa kita.

2) Jika kita kehausan dan tiada air, bacalah surah ini dan gosok di leher, Insya' Allah hilang dahaga.

3) Jika sering sakit mata, seperti berair, gatal, bengkak, sapukan air mawar yang sudah dibacakan surah ini sebanyak 10x pada mata.

4) Jika rumah dipercayai terkena sihir, baca surah ini 10x, mudah-mudahan Allah s.w.t. bagi ilham pada kita dimana letaknya sihir itu.

5) Jika membacanya 1,000x rezeki kita akan bertambah.

6) Jika rajin membacanya, hati kita akan menjadi lembut dan khusyuk ketika menunaikan solat.

7) Jika orang teraniaya dan terpenjara membacanya sebanyak 71x, Allah s.w.t. akan memberikan bantuan kepadanya kerana dia tidak bersalah tetapi dizalimi.

Can you imagine seeing a lady nope, a woman, nope a member of the female species peeing while standing up? Imagine no longer. Now they can be like us MEN peeing while standing up. Thanks to the revolutionary peeing-kit introduced by the P-Company, now you will be able to see a sexy a lady, nope, a woman, nope a member of the female species standing beside you at the urinal in the men's room - of course they will still use the ladies but in cases of emergency where they may not be able to wait in a long queue like they always have to (ahahaha macam tau-tau je...) they can rush over to the gents and do Number 1 standing up! What's worse, they can do it beside you! Aiyooo cannot imagine lah! Takoooottttt!

I got this particular habit or liking for Pisang Kembar from my late mom. Sapa-sapa berani bertarung untuk mendapatkan pisang kembar kalau terjumpa di mana-mana (kedai ke... kat rumah ke... mana-mana la...) silakan! I can gadoh with anyone to get my hands on the twins.

I believe in the myth that if you consume Pisang Kembar you'll be rewarded with a set of twins when you're married - perhaps only applicable to women la kot but I don't care lah.. BTW omputih orang panggil apa ek Pisang Kembar ni? Siamese Twin Banana ke? Sebab tu I like Pisang Kembar so much hoping that I would get a set of twins la kononnya... and the fact is I do have that gene in me (My father's a twin).


Oh God, just imagine the satisfaction of two bananas in your mouth (I really mean bananas ok!)

We were at the Pet World Malaysia 2008 exhibition at the Midvalley MVEC Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur recently. Apart from cats shows, there were many pet shops selling pet products from fur care to pet food to pet adoption booths by SPCA and PAWS. We took advantage of the sample given out and the Iams offer they had there. We bought the 15kgs bag at a cheaper price than usual and got a free Eukanuba 15Kgs purple-coloured bin. We wanted to exchange the points we accumulated from previous Iams purchase but couldn't find anything interesting and suitable for our cats. So we decided to continue accumulating points so that we could get another play tunnel for the kids at home. Imagine combining the two tunnels together? We're sure it would be exciting for the kids as well as for us watching them play together. Overall the visit was really worth the time and effort spent.
