Boston @ Jusco AU3
Another restaurant we recently tried at Jusco Setiawangsa/Au3 was Boston. This restaurant serves mainly western food and some Asian cuisine as well. The place looked posh but it was affordable with nice ambiance and free WiFi (all of the restaurants there provides free WiFi)
I've always liked it when restaurants serve my drinks in jar like glasses - like at Road House Grill, Boston serves their drinks in similar jars - it makes the drink look just tempting, yes? The drink above came in a lunch set that I ordered. It was Chicken Cordon Blue that came with a bowl of Musrhroom Soup, Garlic Bread and the unidentifiable drink above

While the Chicken Cordon Blue tasted just OK (I think Secret Recipe's better), I really despised the Mushroom Soup - it was tasteless and cold - as though it was prepared last night and they didn't even bother to reheat. Disappointing! The garlic bread was good though.
KN would always love anything with cheese on it so that's the Baked Rice in Cheese served and according to KN it did not taste good as well.
And we ordered this fried wanton - it was nice but a no-no for me as there was a gigantic piece of prawn in each of them - I was a little furious but didn't make noise because I didn't think the description on the menu had the word 'PRAWN' in it - so since KN couldn't eat that much, it went to waste.

Yellow Cab Pizza Ampang
Yellow Cab Pizza is a new pizzeria nearby Ampang Point. If I am not mistaken there are two Yellow Cab Pizza outlets in KL tapi not sure where's the other one located. KN bought this take away one weekend and the moment I saw the pizza box - alamak! Gelak tak hengat punya... kenapa? Sebab pizza box dia ikat ngan tali rafia! Funnee but unique!
I can't recall the name of this pizza KN bought but I kinda like the taste. What's best - banyak onion slices and olives... yummm yummm!
When it comes to pizza, i like mine with beef. I just think chicken or other flavours doesn't really go well with pizza. Tak ngam la...I wish one day KN would drive me to Yellow Cab for a dine in so that I could know what's available (heheh I haven't tried driving yet - so have to depend on KN to drive me around heheheh kesian dia jadi drebar pulak kan?

Teppanyaki @ Signature's KLCC

And of course, sudah semestinya setiap kali ke Signature's Foodcourt KLCC, maka Kal El tidak akan lepaskan peluang menikmati Iced Jelly Fruit Cocktail yang amat menyegarkan ekekeke.

Thurkah's Banana Leaf Rice Taman Melawati
Another Banana Leaf Rice Restaurant we recently visited was Thurkah's at Taman Melawati. Kedai ni kat area old shoplots on the same row as Buy Sell Trade di Taman Melawati.
Seperti biasakalau makan Nasi Daun Pisang memang la meriah dengan lauk-lauk dan kuah karinye... meladung ler daun pisang Kal El dengan kari... yumm yummm! Dan seperti biasa Kal El akan order Ayam Masala dan KN pula Ayam Goreng.
One thing I don't quite like about this particular restaurant is their kedekutness with the poppadom. Punya la sikit kasi and bila minta lagi... habis pula katanya... To me, no banana leaf restaurant beats Steven's so far...
Tapi kan Samosa kat sini memang sedap habis,.... nasib baik Kal El dah kenyang makan Nasi Daun Pisang so I had only 1 piece of Samosa that day... hehehe

Paddington House of Pancakes @ The Curve
I was craving for Pancakes recently and on our monthly visit to Pet Safari @ Ikano we dropped by Paddington House of Pancakes @ The Curve for tea.

Before this we used to go to Paddington House of Pancakes kat Hartamas and this was our second time at the Curve branch. It is located beside Bubba Gump Restaurant.
I ended up not ordering any Sweet Pancakes that day but had a savory Corned Beef dish served on a thin piece of Pancake - macam pizza and it was really nice and filling.
KN had this mouth watering, very sweet dish - triple Pancake with Vanilla Ice Cream... ahahah Kal El siap jeling-jeling tapi nak mintak sikit malu pulak.... ahahaha padan muka!

Breakfast @ Restoran Nabila Corner Jalan Pantai
Haa... kalau baca entry semalam Kal El ada sebut KN and I makan Nasi Lemak kat Jalan Pantai kan? Here is the place - Kal El suka tempat ni walaupun baru first time makan sini. Tempat dia bersih (kerusi siap ada sarung lagi!)
Nasi Lemak dia pun boleh tahan la... kalau teringin nak pergi, tempat ni sebelah stesen BP tak silap, before the Pantai police station and about 100 metres before Plaza Pantai.

Breakfast @ San Francisco Coffee Menara TM
I've been wanting to try San Francisco Breakfast Set since masa kat Kota Kinabalu dulu but never had the chance until recently in KL. I had a meeting kat Menara TM in Pantai and sebabkan pagi tu hujan amat lebat the rest of the gang from office sampai lambat - ahahah biasa la Kal El dari rumah - no point pi opes then patah balik kan?
KN dropped me off kat Menara TM - KN tak tau sebenarnya Kal El makan sini ahahah sebabnya sebelum pi Menara TM ni we've had Nasi Lemak breakfast somewhere nearby the Menara as well tapi sebabkan nak menunggu kawan-kawan opes lain sampai will take a couple of hours more (they blamed it on SMART tunnel tutup
The Pancake Set comes with a free mug of Coffee - boleh tahan pancake dia... soft and spongy and what's better, the syrup tak berapa manis - tapi kan, syrup tetap syrup la... who am I kidding eh?
Nak tau satu cerita tak? Haaaaa kat Menara TM ni la Kal El buat scene... betul-betul pagi tu Kal El terbang macam Superman! - Jatuh tersungkur tersadung kaki sendiri dekat depan escalator berdekatan Secret Recipe... malunya! Pastu Kal El tak leh bangun pulak, maklumlah pakai kaki palsu ni kan... Nasib baik ada office mate tolong (and it happens hari tu kat situ ada flea market - heheheh takpe la... nak belajar jalan balik punya pasal, kalau tak jatuh tak sah la kan?

Krua Thai Restaurant Bukit Antarabangsa Again
One of the things yang Kal El suka order kat Krua Thai Restaurant Bukit Antarabangsa ni ialah Kuey Teow Gorengnye - hmmm macamana sebenarnya ejaan benda alah ni ya? Ada yang eja Kueh Teow, Kuey Tew dan macam-macam lagi.
Haaa... Kuey Teow ni specially made for Kal El - takde sayur, takde seafood dan letak hirisan daging muahahaha sungguh baik untuk kesihatan tapi percayalah sedap sangat. Kuey Teow memang sedap kalau ada daging.
Ni pula lauk KN - Sup Ayam makan ngan Nasi Putih...
Another one of Kal EL's favourites (dan juga sangat baik untuk kesihatan Kal El ahaks - konon!) Sup Ekor - haaaa ada sejarahnya Kal El suka sup ekor ni... cinta lama masa kat uni dulu la ngajar makan ni... sampai sekarang suka... tapi arwah mak Kal El dulu marah Kal El makan ni sebab berlemak... hmmmm yang tak elok tu la yang sedap kan? Kalau Kal El order Sup Ekor mesti minta pedas berapi... si ada la cili padi berenang-renang dalam mangkuk tu.
Dan jeng jeng jeng.... dah datang gila Kal El... walaupun tak boleh minum banyak entah kenapa nafsu ini melonjak ahahahah untuk minum Fresh Orang Giant Glass dia Krua Thai... sedap!

Restoran Sakura Kristal @ Jusco AU2
Ever since the new Jusco at AU3 Keramat opened its doors, we've been trying all sorts of eateries yang memang berlambak-lambak kat sana. They have one whole side of the shopping complex dedicated to food - a heaven for food lovers like me hehehe.
One of the first places we tried was Sakura Kristal - they have a first outlet in Taman Melawati but we never tried the place before.
I ordered pasta in cheese while KN ordered Spaghetti Carbonara. Both tasted good. One nice thing about this restaurant is that it serves not just western but also asian food. And the price is really unbelievably affordable.

Restoran Getaran Jiwa, Kota Kinabalu Sabah
Ha... sambung lagi pasal our trip to KK... hehehe sorry lah ek lompat-lompat entries dalam blog ni dah, kejap pasal KK kejap pasal itu kejap pasal ini and back to KK - ahahah macam ada orang baca pun kan blog ni...
On our last day in KK before pi airport, my best buddies Zurry and Mahid brought us to this restaurant dekat depan Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Sebenarnya masing-masing dah tak tau nak makan apa for lunch and everyone was hungry after Zurry drove us around KK showing this and that, nak pergi ke 1 Borneo dah tak sempat sebab flight kul 4 lebih and we had to back at the hotel for our scheduled airport transfer.
According to Zurry, this restaurant baru je bukak and he had tried this place a couple of days ago... hentam aja la Zurry, janji makan. Taste wise... hmmm boleh la, so-so nothing extravagant and special except for the gerai Goreng Pisang and Popia just outside the restaurant - makan cicah dengan sos cili padi Sabah.... sedap woooooo...
I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken (which according to my own taste buds, was not bad at all) with white rice and telur dadar.
Zurry had the Ayam Masak Merah with Nasi Goreng.
While Mahid had Nasi Ayam (just to note - the ayam was eerie looking and tasted as eerie as well according to my dear Mahid) with some curry tofu dish.
While my love KN, apa lagi kalau bukan Tom Yam campur, Nasi Putih and Telur Dadar... hehehe
